Honorary Chairman of Chapter Zero Slovenia appointed to the Steering Committee of the CGI Financial Sector Hub

The Honorary Chairman of Chapter Zero Slovenia, Miha Košak, has been appointed to the Steering Committee of the Financial Sector Hub of the Climate Governance Initiative (CGI).
The Financial Sector Hub is designed for all board member of financial institutions to gain the sector-specific knowledge they need to lead meaningful discussions on climate issues and drive change in boardrooms. The Hub provides support, guidance and opportunities to exchange views and experiences to help them cope with the complex demands of the financial sector related to climate issues.
Mr Košak stressed the importance of robust climate governance in the financial sector:
I am honoured to join the Steering Committee of the Financial Sector Hub and contribute to the joint efforts to promote climate action in the financial sector. The financial sector, with its specific requirements, presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities in relation to the green transition. It is crucial that we recognise that our decisions in the financial sector can have a major impact on how the economy adapts to and embraces the challenge. By embedding sustainability into our practices, we can effectively manage risks and seize opportunities that will enable a resilient and prosperous future for both the financial sector and the broader economy.
